The Rhody Run is held at Fort Worden State Park located in Port Townsend, Washington. There is ample parking inside the park and the assembly area is a short distance away.

Port Townsend is on the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula, across Puget Sound from the Seattle area.

From South Seattle and Tacoma: Take the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (Highway 16) northwest to Bremerton, and Highway 3 north to the Hood Canal Bridge. Cross the bridge, go about five miles and turn right on Highway 19. Continue north through Chimacum to Port Townsend. With normal traffic, it is 1 1/2 hours driving from the Tacoma Narrows bridge to Fort Worden State Park.

From Seattle or north to Everett: Take the Seattle/Bainbridge Island or Edmonds/Kingston ferry, go to the Hood Canal Bridge. Cross the bridge and in about five miles take Highway 19 north (to the right) through Chimacum to Port Townsend. With normal traffic, it is one hour from Kingston to Fort Worden State Park.

From Mt. Vernon, Bellingham, and Vancouver B.C.: Take Highway 20 west from Mt. Vernon to Whidbey Island, follow it south to the Keystone Ferry. Take the Keystone Ferry (1/2 hour crossing time) to Port Townsend.

From Olympia: Either use the Tacoma directions, or follow the scenic route up Hood Canal on Highway 101. From Olympia, the travel time is about equal either way, depending on traffic -- about two hours.

From Victoria: Take the ferry of your choice to Port Angeles, Washington. Take Highway 101 east to Highway 20. Turn left (north) onto 20, thence to Port Townsend. Travel time from Port Angeles is about one hour.

By Air: Jefferson County International Airport is suitable for small planes. Scheduled flights arrive daily from Sea-Tac and other locations.

To the Park 'n' Ride lot from points south: Follow Highway 20 into Port Townsend, and down the hill along an S-curve from where you can see the bay and the main townsite across a valley. Turn left at the next traffic signal (Safeway). The Park 'n' Ride is at the end of the short street. You can catch a shuttle from there to Fort Worden.

To Fort Worden from points south: Follow the Park 'n' Ride instructions above, but continue straight through the signal at Safeway. Turn left at the next traffic signal (Kearney St.). Follow Kearney until it dead-ends into 19th St. Turn left on 19th, then turn right at the next corner (San Juan Ave.) Continue on San Juan until just before it bends to the left. Turn right on Admiralty. Follow Admiralty , making an S-curve around a small cemetery (thereby becoming "W" St.), straight through a three-way stop (Redwood), thence to the Fort gate, which will be on your left. Park personnel will direct you to available parking.

To Fort Worden from the ferry terminal: Turn left from the terminal onto Water St. (aka Sims Way). Turn right at the next traffic signal (Kearney St.). Follow the instructions above from there to the Fort.
